SERVING IN THE MICRONESIA GUAM MISSION
"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." -Helaman 5:12

i hope they call me on a mission

On July 15, 2010, after 4 long weeks of waiting, Dan’s mission call finally arrived.  He was called to serve in the Micronesia Guam mission, English speaking, with a report date of November 3rd.  It is a moment I will never forget, we were thrilled and excited to share the news with family and friends.  We were familiar with the mission since Aunt Liana had served there nearly 20 years ago, although we hadn’t heard of anyone else going there since.  Micronesia is comprised of thousands of small islands in the western Pacific Ocean.  The name Micronesia derives from the Greek micros, meaning small, and nesos, meaning island.  It is located north of Australia and east of the Philippines.
