SERVING IN THE MICRONESIA GUAM MISSION
"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." -Helaman 5:12

same old, same old, but it's all good!

Hey Mom,

Thanks for telling me about Todd Dilling's mission call to the Vanuatu Port Vila Mission. He is going to have so much fun. There is actually a sister in our mission who is from there, her name is Sister Vano and she will be back home when he gets there. I think her dad is the district president there. I'll find out more for him. He will love the heat and island life.

I am doing great and the missionary work is going very well.  We found a really prepared girl named Geraldine. She is 18 years old. Her dad is in jail and has been for 8 years. She has been arrested a few times and she had a drinking problem but she said she really wants a change in her life and has accepted a baptismal date for July 8.

Ermina is progressing along well. Things are going well with Elder Kata so I cannot complain about anything. We also have a baptismal date for a son of a member. We have had consistent success with finding new people to teach.

We also had a fireside in Merizo with some families down there. We had 34 people came. When Lianna was on her mission there, they only had a branch and around 10 people coming to church. We could potentially start a group there and have sacrament if we continue to have success there. It was an awesome experience.

That's so awesome that you are almost done nursing school. Sorry to hear this class has been so hard but good for you for having a job offer already for nursing on the cancer ward. Let me know if you decide to take it or not.  I can't send pics this week, Elder Kata forgot his camera cord. He is such a funny guy, we have a good time together.  Thanks for sending me the email about Uncle David's new job with the church. I am sure he will be awesome doing that.

I feel I have grown in so many ways personally! A mission has been very good for me to grow up and mature.  Well I gotta go sorry, I love you, bye

Elder Daniel Kearl
